Miki has been avoiding Conall since she first met him back when he and his pack came to her town looking for her best friend Sara. Sara had no idea that she was a member of the Magnus Pack but once she found out the truth she took her place as Alpha Female. Now that Sara is mated to Conall’s best friend and Pack Alpha Zach and has moved to California, there’s no way that Miki can avoid him when she goes to visit. Conall is not what Miki has planned for her life, so what if she dreams about him at night! However, Conall, with a little help from Sara, is determined that there is no way that Miki’s getting away this time!

Miki is a certified genius but is constantly in trouble. She’s got a wickedly smart mouth, she’s been banned from ever stepping over the border of several states, her picture is on a dart board at the local FBI office and the CIA has been trying to convince her to join their think tank for years. Plus the locals in town never let her forget the one time the FBI pulled her out of high school trig class in handcuffs. She’s about to defend her dissertation so that she can finally receive her Ph. D. and has absolutely no intention of letting Conall get in between her and the plans she has. The hard part is not fighting Conall however it’s fighting herself when Conall’s around. It doesn’t help that her best friends are determined that she should give Conall a chance and do their best to see that they are thrown together whenever possible.

Conall has wanted Miki since the first time her saw her and her two crazy friends, Sara and Angelina, standing in the bike shop. Everyone sees him a big teddy bear type but he knows that Miki sees the true wolf under the sheep’s clothing. Miki can run but he’s going to be one step behind her or preferably right on top of her because this time he’s not letting go! Luckily he’s got Sara in his corner doing things to make it difficult for Miki to avoid him and he’s going to need the help! Of course once he finally gets Miki he’s got to figure out a way to keep her.

Things really get interesting when a new enemy comes to call. This time Hyena shifters have descended upon the pack and they see Miki as a weak point and go all out in their attempts to get to her. Zach is just as determined to go all out to protect Miki. When Miki leaves Sara’s house to go defend her dissertation he’s right there with her determined that she will go nowhere without him protecting her! Miki has her own ideas and bowing to the dictates of an overbearing male is not one of them. She’s got her dissertation to defend and the future Mr. Miki to woo so Conall better step back out of her way. Conall for his part is determined that he is the future Mr. Miki and the sooner Miki accepts it the better! He’ll do whatever it takes to convince her that he’s the one for her, of course marking her as his without asking her first creates quite a few problems between them. When the Hyenas come to call Miki gets a big shock when she finds that people she thought were everyday humans are actually Pack members and even worse Hyena Clan members. Hyenas are cruel and vicious shifters, even their young attack when the Clan goes to war. But when Conall is hurt defending Miki she quickly learns just how wolf a human like she can be when it comes to defending her mate. Watch out Hyenas! Once the Hyena problem is settled Miki and Conall must then deal with their own relationship and a little surprise that has popped up along the way.

Go Fetch is the second book in what is to be a trilogy for Miki and her friends, Sara and Angelina. Pack Challenge, which is Sara’s story, sets up Miki and Conall for what turns out to be another hoot of a story. Hot, hot love scenes and laugh out loud humor have me adding Shelly Laurenston to my list of auto-buy authors. Shelly Laurenston once again draws us in the world of the shifters. Adding a new shifter, Coyote and skillfully showing the differences between the shifters, the wild biker Wolves, the GQ Cats and now the rabid Hyenas. I found myself engrossed in the story and stayed up until 2 am finish it because I couldn’t stop reading until the end. Plus the interaction between Zach, Conall, Sara, Miki and Angelina lead to many scenes in which I found myself laughing so hard that I woke up my husband.

Go Fetch is another winner for Shelly Laurenston! The story seamlessly begins where Pack Challenge left off. The cliffhanger ending that teases us about Angelina and her Southern cat shifter leaves us anxious for Angelina’s story and a chance to visit with Sara and Zach along with Miki and Conall. What happens when your two best friends are married to Wolves and you hook up with a Cat? I can only hope that Shelly Laurenston can write faster because I can foresee her books becoming very popular among paranormal romance lovers.

Wishing you good books always,

Melissa Nix
